Shikon

Shikon is a visual artist from Japan. Shikon's grandparents were artists who painted many Buddhist statues, portable shrines, and temples. Her grandfather painted the flaming drums for the Tokyo Olympics 1964 and her great - uncle was a sculptor of Buddhist statues. She carries on their lineage and puts as much heart and soul into her work as they did into the creation of Buddhist statues. She also values Japanese traditions, including the ancient Japanese tradition of kintsugi (metal-joining).
