Artist Biography / Artist Statement:

I was born in Habana, Cuba, and at the age of 8, my parents sent my sister and me to the US to avoid indoctrination to communism. We were part of the Pedro Pan Children who arrived in Miami.
It was in the orphanage that I was drawn to art. I learned that my art brought peace and joy to my parents, and that is when I realized what my art can bring to my viewers: "Awe & Wonder". I am self-taught and work with the pouring process with Pebeo Paints, bringing my colors of the Caribbean ocean to life with turquoise, emerald, and the vibrant colors and beauty that surround us. Music is also a large part of when I am painting. You can see the movement in my ART!
