Neil Shapiro is a Director of Photography and Fine Arts Photographer. As Director of Photography, Neil has photographed many iconic national TV commercials. He has worked on over 2000 commercials, 10 short films, 50 music videos, and 2 motion pictures. When Covid caused a work stoppage, Neil channelled his creative energy towards photography. He recently signed with the Agora Gallery in New York and will have his first exhibition in 2024.

Neil interestingly is an autodidact and never attended art school.

“Throughout my career as a Director of Photography I’ve cultivated some specialized skills. Commercial cinematography requires the ability to photograph any person, place or thing in an interesting way in any circumstance. My fine art photography tries to showcase the same aptitude. I mostly enjoy photographing the natural world but because of my background in cinematography, find many other genres compelling. My hope is that my photos are both appealing and have an emotional impact.”-Neil
