Julia Krumpen
Biography / Artist Statement:
Born in 1982 in Hilden, Germany, I pursued my passion for art through formal education and independent exploration:
2002 – 2006: Studied art at the Ruhrakademie Schwerte, earning a Diploma in Fine Arts.
2006 – 2009: Studied Art History/Ancient Cultures at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree.
2009 – 2011: Completed a voluntary service at Schloss Burg an der Wupper.
2011 – 2013: Continued studies in Art History at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, achieving a Master of Arts degree.
Since 2020: Actively working as a freelance artist.
Member of the artist group Kunstraum, Güterhallen Solingen.
Member of the German Watercolor Society.
As an artist, I explore the depths of the human experience and the essence of existence. My work delves into the interplay between the tangible and the intangible, seeking to capture the fleeting moments of emotion and consciousness. Through various mediums and techniques, I aim to evoke a sense of connection and introspection in the viewer, inviting them to contemplate the complexities of the soul.
