Huang, Hsun-Hui was born in 1980, Hsinchu, Taiwan. Graduated from Industrial Design, National Cheng Kung University in 2001, then went to learn the handmade jewelry craft skills in Art Studio Fuji in Florence, Italy for 2 years. Moved to Sicily in 2004, started a personal handmade jewelry studio, and also worked in many Jewelry companies there.

Moved back to Taiwan in 2012. Continue to design, produce and teach in jewelry making. Started to paint in oil in 2019. Held the first Painting Exhibition in 2022, Taipei, Taiwan.   

“The themes of my art include life, love, identity, and the natural world. I see painting as self-therapy; in many of my pictures, the sea represents embrace: a sense of protection between land and water, and oneness with all life. Cats in the paintings usually represent myself or other human beings, as I believe that all living creatures share the same needs and emotions. Double meanings within my work allow for expansion of expression and interpretation. Through the simplified shapes, graceful curves, and gradient colors, the experiences of an individual can resonate with a greater audience and allow each viewer to have their own interpretation. Using the fun and curious eyes of cats to explore the world, just like a woman artist enjoying all different tests of her journey, is a beautiful metaphor for all life experiences. “
