Eva Zauner

Biography and Artist Statement:

Munich-based artist, Eva Zauner, has been honing her skills in acrylic art for the past several years. Originally a Finance professional, self-taught Zauner blended her love for harmonious colour compositions with the precision acquired during her time in the Finance world. With a passion for exploring the interplay of colours and textures, Zauner aims to create artworks that evoke a sense of joy and wonder. Her distinctive style combines bold brushstrokes, metallic effects, and a rich palette to capture the essence of her subjects, whether it be the beauty of nature or abstract compositions.

As an artist, I am captivated by the vibrant world of acrylic paint and the limitless possibilities it offers for creative expression. Through my artwork, I strive to capture the beauty and essence of the subjects that inspire me, while also exploring the interplay between colour, form, and texture. Acrylic paint, with its versatility and quick-drying properties, allows me to work spontaneously and intuitively. Also, I love to add highlights with metallic effects, special textures or mirror mosaic.

There are two main sources of inspiration for me. The first is the beauty of nature. And the second are many too empty rooms. When I visited my friends’ places it happened so often that they had an empty spot somewhere in the room. My friends kept on telling me that they could not yet find an artwork that really matched. Also, there are still plenty of corporate meeting rooms with barely any colour. Therefore, it is my goal to use colours & textures to create matching artworks that have a harmonious effect and positively influence the atmosphere in a room. Because we want to be in rooms that are good for us!
