Aurélie Ferrara
Aurélie Ferrara captures life's moments through her drawings, much like a photographer captures a precise moment in time. Her love for painting and drawing has been a constant in her life, and in 2018, she decided to turn her passion into a profession. As a self-taught artist, she experimented with various techniques before finding her true calling in graphic pencil and portrait drawing in 2020.
Aurélie's artistic style focuses on depicting reality in all its forms and true light. She doesn't idealize, modify, or copy reality but instead aims to restore its significant dimension. Her work brings her closer to the emotions and human situations, creating aesthetic and poetic moments. She has a particular interest in portraying simple happiness, as well as addressing difficulties and injustices.
In her artistic process, the environment surrounding the subject is as crucial as the subject itself. She carefully selects photographs taken in intimate or public settings, often emphasizing the poetic intimacy of the moment. Her deep appreciation for life in its raw form, down to the smallest detail, is evident in her work.
Aurélie's creations draw inspiration from real models, often from her own photo shoots, which she conducts independently or in collaboration with professional photographers. She also has a few Star pieces to share for your viewing pleasure.
Aurélie Ferrara's artworks have been exhibited in France, specifically in Biarritz and Paris, as well as in Spain, notably in Madrid.
