Art108

Born in 1987 in a small town, I have harbored a deep fascination with both living and non-living aspects of nature since childhood. My journey commenced with an education in primary school teaching, driven by the belief that the future of society hinges on the comprehensive development and education of the younger generation. Alongside this, I acquired certification in journalism, recognizing the pivotal role of information dissemination in today's digital era, where news swiftly traverses borders but isn't always accompanied by reliability or verification.

This wealth of knowledge and diverse experiences has indelibly influenced my writing style. Presently residing and creating in South Korea, my biography and artist statement interweave to form a narrative that encompasses my artistic endeavors.

My artistic expression manifests in the form of naive and marginal art, characterized by a grotesque style. My passion for graphics and painting coalesces within my creations, where I endeavor to convey images of bygone eras and individuals who have ceased to exist. Some of my works even foreshadow the contemporary realities of our world. I hold a firm belief that our past interlaces with our present, inexorably propelling us into the future, often unnoticed but residing within and beside us.

"Look. I want my paintings to transcend my own interpretation" encapsulates the ethos driving my creations. Provoking contemplation and eliciting emotions, my art holds significance in the modern art landscape. I firmly believe that art serves as a lens to illuminate and delineate societal issues. Notably, the signature "108" adorns most of my works—a numerical representation where "1" signifies God, "0" denotes emptiness, and "8" symbolizes infinity.
